These are some of
my favorite places.
Los Angeles, CA
Los Angeles has
been my home since 1997. This huge city offers endless possibilities
to those who seek out whatever they want to do. While the social
culture may be best described as "disconnected," the lack of long
established cliques and groups allows an individual to re-invent
his or her life as often as needed. In addition, Hollywood's influence
creates an aspirational, artistic environment.
Finally, Los Angeles
is home to the Mother Center of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF)
and to most of its Western temples. SRF has been a significant part
of
my
life since 1987. Below are pictures taken at my temple, the SRF Lake
Shrine in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Medicine
Wheel, WY
Medicine
Wheel, WY is perhaps the best preserved example of a Native American
religious
site in North America. Many disagree about the multi-layered purpose
of the Medicine Wheel but the peace and joy felt at the site is undeniable.
If you are driving
across the Bighorn Mountains on a warm mid-summer's day, take the
time to hike up to this spectacular location.
Boston, MA
Not
just the location of my alma mater, Boston University, this city
has a range of activities
and a depth of cultural resources unmatched by any city of a similar
size in the U.S. It is also the best college town anywhere. Period.
Copley Square is pictured at left.
If you have not visited Boston yet, what are you waiting for?
Enjoy getting outside in the sunshine? You might run into me hiking
around the wilderness of the Santa Monica Mountains located at the
NW corner of Los Angeles.
